Innovation and networking to boost investment and business in Mendoza.
These were the pillars of the two-day 5th Mendoza Investment & Business Forum 2024, organized by the Mendoza Business Council and the Government of Mendoza. With 620 participants, this year’s local, national, and international attendees highlighted the ability to manage concrete projects thanks to a revamped format that prioritized sector-specific roundtables.
Martín Clément, President of CEM, emphasized the event’s positive impact and the synergy between the public and private sectors, noting that this cooperation serves as a competitive advantage for Mendoza. The participation of national officials, such as Minister of Economy Luis Caputo, reinforced the Forum’s national significance, showcasing the alignment between national and provincial governments and the business sector.
The panel discussions were highly attended, addressing key topics such as foreign investment in IMPSA, the evolution of the wine industry, and the challenges of the energy transition. Additionally, a conference on fiscal transparency and the municipal business climate highlighted strategies to attract investment and reduce bureaucratic barriers, featuring the Mayor of Mendoza and experts from the IDB.
Sector-specific investment tables were also a success, with debates on tourism, mining, energy, healthcare, and sustainable construction. For example, the synergy between tourism and mining opened new opportunities for developing tourism products in former mines and attracting corporate visitors. With the participation of leading business figures and investment funds, the Forum concluded with a positive outlook, solidifying its position as a driver for regional growth and innovation.
