On Friday, March 2, the 2nd Edition of the Mendoza Investment Forum will take place, organized by the Government of Mendoza and the Mendoza Business Council (CEM). This space aims to establish direct links between officials, business leaders, and investors to promote sustained and diversified development, positioning Mendoza as an investment destination in strategic areas.
During the event, there will be debate panels led by officials and investors, presentations of investment success stories in Mendoza, sector-specific working tables, municipal investment project showcases, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives, and scheduled meetings between business leaders and local officials.
The event will be held within the framework of the traditional National Grape Harvest Festival, with the opening led by the Governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo, and the President of CEM, Javier Allub.
The Provincial Minister of Economy, Infrastructure, and Energy, Martín Kerchner, will share Mendoza’s vision for the coming years and relevant investment opportunities. A panel will also feature a global perspective with representatives from international companies that have already invested or plan to invest in Mendoza. A second panel will address recent investment cases, followed by a third session on venture capital and private investment as a driver of development. The meeting will conclude with thematic networking tables led by the president of CEM and national government officials.
“National and foreign investors with a presence in Mendoza will also participate, presenting projects that have been successful. We want these to be the primary examples—sharing their experiences to attract those with ideas who are evaluating us as an investment hub,” stated Cornejo. He added: “This activity is vital to revitalize the private sector, generate genuine employment, and achieve solid growth. That is why we are organizing this new forum with CEM: to reinforce what we have achieved and bring new actors to our land.”
Regarding the forum’s scope, Kerchner explained: “We promote investment as the engine of Mendoza’s development.” For his part, Allub stated: “Our main goal is to drive provincial growth and develop long-term opportunities for local and foreign investors.”

Strategic Potential
In the last 10 years, Mendoza has doubled its production, currently exporting to 130 countries and ranking as Argentina’s fourth-largest province in crude oil and gas extraction. Its privileged geopolitical location on the central bioceanic corridor, combined with public-private coordination and judicial independence, are the pillars of its projected growth.
Mendoza is a leader in renewable energy, with 12 hydroelectric plants providing 1,410 megawatts. Currently, 6 photovoltaic plants, 4 mini-hydro plants, and 1 wind farm are under development. Furthermore, the province offers 18 industrial parks, 1 technology park, and 1 biotechnology park, supported by 8 universities and 70,000 students.
